Disclaimer: The post that follows is not inspirational. I usually try to present positive thoughts. I prefer to operate from a positive place. But, doubts and discouraging thoughts do creep in from time to time and I would be misrepresenting myself and under-serving anyone who reads my blog if I didn't occasionally share these thoughts... The Positive Power of the Naysayer
We all know a few of them. They are the naysayers, the people who always manage to find grey clouds on sunny days and who always travel the road most travelled rather than venture into fresh new territory. They consistently allow fears and anxieties to impose boundaries around their life, fencing them into predictable, safe... Continue Reading →

Today, I just want to post a quick 120-day Paleo check-in and a new Paleo recipe too! It's technically been 116 days today, but I figured I am close enough! Overall I have been doing great with making this huge lifestyle change and I feel great for having done it too! Beyond the fact that I've... Continue Reading →
Are You Planning to Fail?
Have you ever heard the old saying, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”? Lately I've been hearing a lot of excuses (some call them reasons) for shortcomings in friends' and relatives' health and fitness efforts and in almost every case, the real problem can be traced back to a failure to plan.... But the fact is that my actions and efforts of both weeks don’t necessarily add up to the results that I saw.
The Great Fasnacht Boycott 2012
I think one of the most important lessons we can take from the season of Lent is that we should delight in our sacrifices, remembering always that the ability to sacrifice is born out of blessings.
All that’s old is new again!
Last week, I promised a post to bring everyone up to date on what specifically I've been doing in pursuit of my weight loss and fitness goals and here it is! Of course the minute I promised to write a new post, I promptly developed writer's block and for a few days could not think of any words to write. Hopefully this post won't be too disappointing in light of my utter lack of literary genius right now. : )
Fit In Faith Mini-Makeover!
All in all, to say this blog demonstrates the attention span of a gnat, might be putting it politely. To that end, I am working on pulling together a more cohesive identity for this blog. I plan to continue sharing my inspirations, my poetry, opinions and the like, but in a way that is more organized and more personal.
